We've had an exciting time in class, exploring a variety of subjects and engaging in some interesting activities.
In RE, we began our journey into beliefs and science by exploring the Christian creation story. It was fascinating to learn about the different beliefs the children hold about how the world was created. We discussed how science provides its own explanations, and it's important to respect and understand various perspectives. In Music we played "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" on the glockenspiels. We learned about rhythm, harmony, and teamwork. It's amazing how music can bring us all together. But that wasn't all! We were introduced to Indian musical instruments. The vibrant sounds of instruments like the sitar and tabla transported us to a different world. Learning about music from different cultures broadened our horizons and made us appreciate the beauty of diversity. In English, we read "The Fox and the Star," a heart-warming story about a lonely fox who had lost his friend. We were deeply moved by the fox's plight, and as a class project, we wrote letters to him, offering our advice and friendship. It was a touching exercise in empathy and kindness, and it reinforced the importance of being there for others when they're going through tough times. In Maths, we learned about number lines, going all the way up to 100! Placing numbers on the number line helped us understand the place value. That's it for now! We hope you enjoyed this glimpse into our Year 3 classroom. Stay tuned for more updates on our learning journey. We can't wait to see what the next weeks have in store for us, as we continue to explore, learn, and grow together. Until next time, Year 3 Team Comments are closed.
