A Week of Exploration and Growth: Inside Our Classroom Adventures
Greetings, dear readers! Join us as we take you on a captivating journey through the exciting happenings in our classroom this week. From mastering gymnastic skills to diving into a new literary world, delving into the realms of mathematics, exploring the origins of food, and even creating our own settlements in geography—this week has been a tapestry of learning and discovery. Let's embark on this adventure together! Our week kicked off with a brilliant afternoon of meeting 6-week old Fox red Labrador puppies! We learnt all about how to carefully look after puppies and why being calm is super important when meeting nervous puppies! The children have said that this was the best day of year three so far! In our English class, we embarked on a poignant literary journey with the book 'Small in the City' by Sydney Smith. The evocative illustrations and heartfelt narrative transported us to the bustling streets, sparking discussions about empathy, perspective, and the small moments that connect us all. Midweek, our focus shifted to the world of numbers. We dived into the realms of addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication. Exploring concrete objects to understand division brought the abstract to life, making math not just a subject but a dynamic puzzle waiting to be solved. Our Thursday was flavoured with a taste of knowledge in Design and Technology. We delved into the origins of food, tracing the journey from farm to table. Understanding the intricate processes involved in bringing food to our plates deepened our appreciation for the resources that sustain us. In PE as we embraced the world of gymnastics. From somersaults to cartwheels, we navigated the gymnasium with enthusiasm, honing our flexibility, strength, and coordination. Each routine was a triumph, and the joy of physical activity echoed through the room. As the week approached its end, we donned our geography hats and embarked on the creative task of designing our own settlements. From urban centers to quaint villages, each student's imagination came to life on paper. This hands-on experience made geography not just a subject but a canvas for our collective creativity. As we bid farewell to this week of exploration and growth, we carry with us a trove of experiences that have enriched our minds and hearts. The classroom buzzed with curiosity and collaboration, and we can't wait to see what the coming weeks hold for us. Thank you for sharing in our journey. Stay tuned for more tales from our vibrant classroom as we continue to learn, grow, and create together. Until next time! |
