Weekly Blog 14.07.2023

Hi Everyone,

It has been such a busy week this week. We have had some fantastic highlights this week. The children really enjoyed learning all about the Ancient Greeks with a storyteller on Tuesday. This was paid for by money that was raised by FONTs and we are very grateful for this. It really brought our learning about the Ancient Greeks alive. 

On Wednesday, PJ came in to give us an art workshop all about clay modelling. She went through the history of clay which the children were able to link to their learning about the Stone Age to the development of people using clay pots. The children made some fantastic creations and PJ complimented them on how creative they were. 

We have finished our learning on time but are still practising learning to tell the time using analogue and digital clocks. The children have been reading limericks and also learning all about friendships.

In PE the children were practising their batting skills, taking turns to use a cricket bat to hit a ball through zones to gain points. In the afternoon they took part in their final year 3 swimming lesson!

On Friday the children spent the day with Miss Wallis. In RE they looked at gospel stories, Fishes of men & The good Samaritan. We were lucky enough to have a bonus PE session where we took part in fitness circuits and looked at how fast our heart beats were before and after fitness.
We ended our week making pneumatic monster heads!

We look forward to Sports Day and the Music Concert next week.
