Hello Willow Class,
It was so lovely to welcome back Willow Class this week and we've been impressed with how motivated they are for Year 3. Today, we had a quiet time reflecting on yesterday’s sad news and learning about the life of Queen Elizabeth. The whole school has taken part in a memorial assembly rather than the usual praise assembly. In Maths, we reasoned with number bonds to ten, working in partners to solve a puzzle. In Art, we began to create a mixed media piece integrating the Union Jack with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth. We learnt the basic rules for drawing portraits. We've learnt how to introduce ourselves in French. The children have settled in very well and are getting used to new routines. We will send out spellings next week. Many children have been benchmarked for reading, but not all yet. Please make sure to read at home every day and practise times tables. Have a lovely weekend, Miss Boyce, Miss Keen and Ms Westcott Comments are closed.
