We have completed assessments in reading and maths. The children have worked extremely hard at some really tricky learning. We are continuing our unit on multiplication and division in maths. They have also written about recycling and sustainability on their own recycling truck for science. In geography, they designed their own settlement and wrote about the advantages of living there. We had a fantastic walk around the town surveying all the amenities for our geography field trip. We have also had a surprise visitor this week who you may have seen on Dojo. In RE this week, we have been learning about the story of Noah's Ark, and talking about faith in God. We had a great discussion about evolution and religion, exploring contradictions and shared some thoughts about how the two can sit alongside each other. There were some good ideas which show the children's growing interest in the 'big questions'! In French, we have been learning to count to 10, and we also recapped likes and dislikes.
We hope you have a lovely weekend, Year 3 Team
"My favourite thing this week was our field trip because we got to look around North Tawton and look at all of the amenities in our town."
"My favourite thing this week was PE. We played football and hockey. I really like playing hockey!"
