In English, we have been continuing to learn the story of Arthur and the Golden Rope and practising skills that we will need to write our own quest stories next week. The children have been thinking a lot about inverted commas and time adverbials. During our maths lessons, the children have been using what they know about multiplication to multiply two-digit numbers by one-digit numbers. We continued to learn about sound today and we have started to plan an investigation to look at pitch for next week. We are also learning about the Shang Dynasty in history. We have begun to think about how the Shang Dynasty started and to learn about its first emperor. We will look forward to continuing this next week. In RE this week, we went to St Peter's church to learn about Holy Communion. We also looked around the church and asked lots of questions about the things we saw. In Art, we are continuing with our drawing unit. This week, we have been sketching cartoons and adding facial expressions to emojis. In French we have been counting to 10.
Have a lovely weekend,
Year 3 Team
