Hi Everyone,

We have had lots of exciting things happening this week! We have been making paperclips move without touching them in our English lessons as part of our new text, Marvin and Milo: Adventures in Science. The children really enjoyed our measuring lesson on Monday when they were using different equipment to measure lots of items in the classroom. In science, we investigated different forces by playing with boats in the water, dropping feathers, throwing bean bags, making iron filings move with a magnet and rolling balls on different surfaces. On Thursday, we had an extra PE session run by OCRA when the children enjoyed playing Futsol. Next week, we will be looking forward to completing our own experiment to write about in English and continuing to measure length and perimeter We will also start our learning about mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes. 
In RE this week, we learnt about how and why Muslims pray. We learnt about the washing ritual called Wudu. In Maths on Friday, we have been learning about column subtraction with exchanging.  In Music, we have been clapping complex rhythms, reading crotchets, quavers and rests. We have been singing a new song 'Make the Future Bright.' In Art, we began a whole school project this afternoon - making a Dartmoor and North Tawton themed collage.
