Hi everyone, We have been thinking a lot about the presentation of our learning this week to make sure it is neat. The children have risen to the challenge and their new books are looking very smart. We are continuing to learn about three-digit numbers in maths. We have been placing them on a number line and learning how to use place value counters. We have started our unit on biographies by reading about Henri Matisse. In science, the children really enjoyed showing each other their materials and we talked about what different materials are used for. In PE, we have been continuing to practise our footwork and been learning how to throw accurately. In Life Skills, we have started learning about families. For Art we have been learning about tints and shades, we used this for the inspiration for our abstract Christmas cards. We continued learning about the creation story in RE. In Music we have been practising Harvest songs ready for the harvest festival next month. We can now introduce ourselves in French and use the phrase J'ai besoin which means 'I need'. What a busy week! We hope you have a lovely weekend. Year 3 Team “My favourite thing this week was Art. I enjoyed mixing the paint and making different tints and shades of purple.” “My favourite thing was PE. We had a competition throwing bean bags in to hoops and then we played connect 4 with them.” Comments are closed.
