It has been a stormy week weather wise and today it seems like summer again!
The children have finished their learning on three-digit place value. They are showing a better understanding of hundreds, tens and ones. We are moving on to addition and subtraction. We will start formal methods like column method.
In English, we have been starting to prepare to write a biography of a Stone Age boy. We had a great afternoon on Wednesday completing some Stone Age hunter gatherer activities in order to help our writing and learning about the Stone Age.
We have finished our history work with a lesson on the Iron Age. Next week, we are moving on to Villages, Towns and Cities in geography. Please send in any photos you have of cities, villages and towns you have been to. In PSHE, we have been looking at families and how families can be different.
Once again, the children have shown themselves to be kind, thoughtful and helpful. They have worked hard and we've had a great week.
