Hey everyone! It's that time again—time to catch up on the awesome things we've been up to in Year 3 this week. From spinning cautionary tales to diving into the world of plants, we've had a blast. Let's dive into the highlights!

In English, we delved into the world of cautionary tales with the story of Jim. Inspired by Jim's adventures and misadventures, we wrote our own cautionary tales. It was a great exercise in creativity and storytelling, and we had a lot of fun coming up with moral lessons and surprising twists for our characters.

In Maths, our focus was on measuring liquids. We learned all about millilitres and litres, using measuring jugs and containers to get hands-on experience. It was interesting to see how much different volumes actually are, and now we’re practically pros at reading those measurements accurately.

Our wider curriculum activities were a mix of science and art this week. We experimented with food colouring to see how water is transported in plants, which was fascinating to watch as the colours travelled up the stems and into the leaves. It was like magic!

On the artistic side, we tried our hand at botanical drawing, focusing on British wildflowers. We observed the details closely and sketched them as accurately as we could. It was a peaceful and rewarding activity that helped us appreciate the beauty and complexity of nature.
