Dear Parents, Another exciting and productive week has unfolded in our Year 3 classroom. Here's a glimpse into the highlights: In PE, our focus was on balance and coordination as we learned to link moves to form a short sequence on the mat. Working in pairs, students supported each other in mastering various balancing techniques, fostering teamwork and physical confidence. Mathematics brought us back to the fundamentals as we recapped subtracting multiples of 10 across 100, with a focus on exchanging. Additionally, students participated in a fractions assessment, demonstrating their understanding of fractional concepts and operations. In English, our literary journey continued with the captivating book "Escape from Pompeii." Students immersed themselves in descriptive writing, vividly capturing the scenes and characters from the story. Today, we shifted gears to explore the key features of a news reports. We spotted headlines, photos, facts and lots of conjunctions to extend sentences. We also joined in the spirit of giving by participating in Red Nose Day, with everyone wearing red to raise money for this worthy cause. There is a bake sale after school today in the hall as well! Thank you to all parents who contributed. Have a lovely weekend, Year 3 team Comments are closed.
