Dear Parents,
This week, we tackled the 3 and 4 times tables with a rhythmic twist—catchy songs and hands-on practice. The aim was not just memorization but a solid understanding. Simultaneously, we explored number bonds up to 100 using bead strings. The tactile experience added a practical dimension to our numerical journey. Our English sessions delved into "How to Live Forever" by Colin Thompson. Beyond the narrative, we examined the intricate illustrations, encouraging analytical thinking and a deeper connection with literature. In PE, we explored volcanic movements through dance, emphasizing coordination and expression through structured motions. In history, we introduced the Shang Dynasty, examining artefacts and creating timelines for a hands-on exploration of ancient China. In RE, we revisited the Five Pillars of Islam, enhancing understanding through a creative exercise where students crafted "Five Pillars" for our school. Our music class embraced technology, experimenting with Chrome Music Lab. We are becoming confident adding rhythms to melodies. In summary, it was a fun week of purposeful learning, ensuring our Year 3 students grasp concepts with depth and understanding. Have a lovely weekend! Year 3 team Comments are closed.
