What a fantastic week we have had! The first week back after the summer can be daunting but the class have been brilliant. We have gotten started with our new art unit of Pre-historic Artwork. The children have drawn sketches of native animals such as, foxes, deer's and barn owl's focusing on shapes within them to build upon their work. This has been in the style of Cave drawings using earthy tones to add detail, similarly to that of Pre-historic artists.
The pupils have also been writing recounts of their summer holidays which have been accompanied by beautiful drawings. Today we have explored the exciting topic of Indian music and the different types of instruments they use. We will continue with this next week as they begin to create their own Indian style music pieces. The pupils have taken part in a nature walk finding different artefacts for a new exciting display outside Ms Penny's office! The diorama will be revealed on Wednesday when our mystery book is delivered to the class. Have a brilliant weekend Willow Class! Miss Wallis Comments are closed.
