Happy Friday!
It has been another busy week with lots of learning taking place in Year 5! It was great to see lots of the children dressed up as their favourite book character. We had a hot dog, Harry Potter, Matilda and Alice in Wonderland! The children completed a world book day quiz testing their knowledge all about books, made some reading bookmarks and also completed an emoji book quiz. In our English lessons, we have been continuing to write, edit and publish our own fairy-tale sequels. the quality of the writing has been phenomenal, lots of budding authors in this class. Next week, we will start our new unit all about Anne Frank and her story. In maths we will have been learning about decimals and rounding them to nearest whole number and to the nearest one decimal place. We will finish this unit next week when we look at percentages! On Wednesday afternoon, the children created some great gymnastics sequences in partners practicing their balances and learning their own mini sequences to perform to the rest of the class. After our busy PE lesson, we came back and had a go at making our own parrot vector drawings on the computers. This proved to be quite a challenge! Next Friday will be Red Nose Day, look out for information on school dojo regarding this! TTRS is now back up and running again so children should be practicing their timetables at home please! Spellings and Maths homework due in on Monday please. Have a lovely weekend :) Comments are closed.
