Happy Friday! Welcome to our weekly blog!
What another busy week we have had in Hazel class. In English, we have been researching our own endangered animal. We have been researching why they are endangered and what is being done to save the animal. Children have chosen lots of interesting animals from Bonobo to a monarch butterfly. Today we began to write our own information text and will continue this next week! In maths we have begun our topic on position and direction, looking at coordinates and translation. We are trying to remember that the X coordinate comes first by saying ' along the corridor and up the stairs!' We will continue this unit next week by focusing on reflection. In PE we have been focusing on striking and fielding. Our PE session on Tuesday was focused on practicing skills needed in cricket and today we have focused on playing a whole class game of rounders! This afternoon, we have started our DT project on Bridges. We have started by building different bridges using card and seeing which design can hold the most weight. See pictures below. I hope enjoy your long weekend and I hope the sun does shine! Comments are closed.
