Happy Friday!
It has been a bit of a funny week this week with storm day yesterday. I hope you all managed to stay safe in the warm and dry. We have had a busy week back after half term. In our English lessons this week we have began writing our non-chronological reports all about the Benin Kingdom. We aim to finish these by the middle of next week so we can then begin our new unit... In maths this week we have finished our addition and subtraction unit by completing our end of unit assessment today. We will be moving onto multiplication and division next week. We have also started our geography unit on informal settlements. We use our map skills using an atlas to help us find the largest informal settlements around the world. On Tuesday we had a very exciting afternoon, we had our first session of mini police. The children were very engaged and asked lots of interesting questions. As a class they decided that our focus for the rest of our session will be about speeding motorists in our town. In a few weeks we will be lucky enough to go into town with a speed gun to see if we can catch anyone going over the speed limit! Today we have started our new DT project which we will be selling at the Christmas fair! We will be making Christmas pop up cards so look out for these at the fair in a few weeks time! I hope you have a lovely weekend and stay dry! Comments are closed.
