Happy Friday! I hope enjoy reading this weeks blog.
We have had a very busy week with tests this week. The children have been busy sitting one reading paper and three maths papers. I have been very impressed with the children's attitudes towards the tests this week practicing lots of perseverance and resilience as it has been tricky. However everyone has tried their best with all four tests, which is all I can ask for. On Monday, we started our new geography unit on biomes and we spent time investigating all the different types of biomes across the world. Next week we will be researching about our chosen biomes and creating pictures to represent different biomes. On Tuesday, we started a new computing unit looking at creating vector drawings. Over the weekend you could ask your child what a vector drawing is! We used google drawings to create our own vector drawings, children worked well in pairs to create their own. We had lots of houses and even a sloth! We have begun our new maths unit on decimals and percentages this week and will be continuing to learn more about this next week! We have also continued with the 'Sleeper and the Spindle' and next week we hope to start to begin to plan and write our own sequel to this alternative fairy tale. I look forward to seeing most of you next week at parent's evenings on Monday and Wednesday. I hope you all have a lovely weekend and manage to stay dry! Don't forget spellings and maths homework on Monday. Comments are closed.
