Happy Friday, what a wet week it has been! I hope you enjoy reading this week's blog.
This week in English we have begun to plan and write our own sequel to the 'The Sleeper and the Spindle'. We have been planning our own versions using different settings and characters from other famous fairy tales. Next week we will continue to write and edit our own sequel stories. In maths we have been continuing looking at decimals and learning equivalent fraction decimals. We have been looking at numbers with up to three decimal places. Children have been excellent at identifying and representing decimals in a place value chart. We were lucky enough to have three PE sessions this week, where in every lesson all children have been working really well. On Monday, we had a lesson with Mark Templeton from Real PE which focused on using our core strength, Tuesday we looked at balances and creating our own sequences in gymnastics. Today we had a lesson looking at skills used in netball and we even played some mini netball games practicing our skills of throwing and catching. In Geography this week we looked at the factors that affect a biome and how important they are for humans. We also researched and designed a picture to represent a biome of our choice. They look lovely out on display outside our classroom. I hope you manage to stay dry this weekend! It was lovely to see nearly all of you at parents meetings this week. Have a lovely weekend!
