Friday again! This week has seemed so short - oh yes, it has only been 4 days! But we've packed a lot into 4 days. This week we have performed drama, run a cross country, played cricket, looked at decimal numbers, studied multi-clause sentences and planned our innovate writing, discovered why the Amazon Rainforest is so important and thought about how we can get this message across, trained to be Young Sports Leaders and played charades. Phew!
It has been nice to speak to parents this week, either through a phone call or on Google Meet, and i will be doing the same next Tuesady and Friday between 4 and 6 - if you haven't booked a slot yet, please do - Tuesday is nearly full. Next week, we will be writing our innovate stage stories, based on How the Whale Became by Ted Hughes, finishing our unit on decimal numbers and percentages, continuing our work on The Amazon Basin and covering Art with Miss Ruby. We also have a scientific treat on Tuesday, a Space themed Workshop with the Ogden Trust - I'm really looking forward to that! Friday is also going to be exciting, with a day based on reading and wearing your pyjamas to school! Look out for more details on Class Dojo, also, if you haven't already, check out Hazel's rendition of Jai Ho on whole school Dojo - it is awesome! Running Club starts on Thursday and it has proved incredibly popular - slips are still coming in and the children are raring to go! Let's hope it's stopped raining by then, the forecast looks a bit rubbish! Please remember to look at and complete the Wider Curriculum Home Learning, it is due in on 27th May and we are still doing weekly spellings and expecting at least 10 minutes of reading every night. Have a great weekend whatever you are up to and I will see you all on Monday. Mr F Comments are closed.
