Good afternoon everybody - Happy Friday!
This week, we have been working hard on our assessments and have had some pleasing results. i will now look at these with the children and plan the next stage of their learning journey in Maths and English. In Science and Geography, we worked on what the components of an electrical circuit are and how to draw circuit diagrams. Whilst in Geography, we explored the three parts of a river's journey and revisited the features of a river system. On Monday, we enjoyed another fun-filled French session with Madame Jordan, thinking about pets and how to describe the animals that we keep at home as pets and in the afternoon, we explored Electrical circuits and their components. We finished the week off with double P.E. - swimming on Thursday afternoon and today, Mrs Edwards (our Saints coach) carried out a session on football skills and small 7 a side games. Spellings are now on Dojo for the groups, this week, it's the 1st column, a paper copy was sent home at the beginning of the week. I have been impressed by how many people are reading every night, keep it up! The Wider Curriculum home learning is on the website and on Dojo and the children have had a paper copy. This will be due in by Thursday 7th April, so there is 1 week to create some quality pieces of home learning, (Have a look at the home learning being created in the gallery.) I have already had some superb pieces of Van Gogh inspired artwork, some Recommended Reads, super Jewish inspired cookery and a scientific Masterclass via video on Electrical Circuits. Next week, we will have French on Monday, P.E. on Thursday (swimming our final session) and on Friday with our Saints Southwest coach Mrs Edwards. We will continue work on our new unit Fractions in Maths and complete work on our text Extreme Animals in English, spark life into our Science unit on Electrical Circuits and explore Rivers further in Geography. Have a great weekend, spend quality time together, get out and about and enjoy the sunshine when it arrives. See you on Monday. Mr F Comments are closed.
