Chestnut children had a great week working hard to complete their stories based on Boa's Bad Birthday. We saw some great stories with innovative ideas and excellent technical detail. I was very proud of how hard the children worked on this. In Maths we are looking at place value to 50 - consolidating counting backwards and forwards to 50 as well as thinking about what each number means in terms of place value. In our wider curriculum we have been working on our skills in computing. The children have explored a variety of 'Paint' programs learning how to use various tools to create and save their own pictures. They have also used this to add text to their portrait. I was pleased to hear about all the Chestnut's achievement's in our Show 'n' Tell class assembly on Friday and those in the CWV class performed their own dance routine to 'Fight Song'.
