Dear Parents and Carers,
The children have had a very productive week. Logan is our 'Star Learner' - he has shown great determination and resilience in his learning this year. Literacy As always we are pushing forward with our Literacy learning in RWI. The children's writing is developing well and this week we wrote a story about telling a fib. The children's reading is also developing and as we approach the second half of spring term the children will need to really step up their home reading in preparation for the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. Maths In Maths we have been working on place value within 50. We have been discussing the number of tens and ones in numbers and have been representing numbers in various ways with our maths apparatus. History We have nearly finished our History studies looking at Henry VIII and will compare this figure to our current Queen next week. PSHE Today we have celebrated Children's Mental Health Week. We have thought about ourselves and how we can stay mentally healthy. We have also been thinking of positive things about ourselves. Science In Science we have been looking at different types of animals that hibernate in the winter months. We continue to record the weather taking note of the season. Have a great week!
