Literacy
This week we will be running assessments in our normal Literacy time and therefore will not be issuing spellings this week. 

Maths

Children will have a particular focus on understanding the symbols we use in an addition number sentence.

History
In our History topic we will be studying entertainment through time. This week we will look at TV, Theatre and Music.

Science
We continue our work on materials and developing the children's understanding of their properties.

Just a reminder children will not have had their books changed this week and spellings are the same. These will be tested on Friday. I have given children an additional book to read to fill in until next book change.

Phonics Event - Thursday 13th October
I will be running a very brief phonics information meeting after school on Thursday at approximately 3.30pm. This will probably be around 15 - 20 minutes long. I hope to show you some of the resources we use and how they connect with what we send home as homework. Please come along if you can.
