Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope you enjoyed our weather report ably given by Henry and Lucy. Our Star Learner last week was Daisy who has been working really hard in her Literacy producing some lovely written work.

Literacy
Keep up the 5 minutes reading daily with your child and please practise spellings. You will find these in the spelling books.

Maths
The children are working hard on their maths and we are now working particularly hard on number bonds to both 10 and 20. We are using this knowledge to aid our addition.

Wider Curriculum
As you will have seen we have got off to a great start in our Science observing the weather outside and looking at some of the instrument we use to measure weather. Please try to review the order of the seasons with your and even the months of the year these are important concepts in year 1.

Homework
You should have received the homework for this term - this is in the homework books provided.

Forest School
I'm afraid Forest School could not happen on Monday because of staff shortages due to illness. I hope we can catch up on another day and I will keep you posted as to when we might be able to manage it.
