We’ve had another busy week in Chestnut class! The week started off with our trip to Newquay Zoo, we loved looking around and seeing all the animals especially the penguins and the meerkats! We also enjoyed a talk from one of the zoo keepers who told us more about the animals and even showed us some skulls!
Chestnut had a visit from Mrs. Cutler the Vet and they learnt all about her job as well as meeting her pretend poorly dog Oscar, and today the children had a visit from 2 police officers which included fingerprinting, having the chance to look at the police car, trying on uniform and getting pencils/stickers! We also continued and completed our DT work which was making a windmill! In Maths they have been learning all about numbers 1-50 using tens and ones and number lines! Chestnut have all worked really hard and written a great piece of writing about their favourite animal at the Zoo! Finally to complete our Science week we’ve all taken part in a Science Olympics which included paper aeroplane making, who can make the tallest tower using just paper and tape, making aluminium foil boats and seeing who’s can hold the most coins and a marble run distance! We hope you have a great weekend! Chestnut Team Comments are closed.
