Lockdown Week 5 The children in Chestnut Class are working so very hard. They have continued to complete their daily phonics and they have read an impressive amount of books accessing the Oxford Reading Owl library. See below for the link as we know you are missing the real books. The work in Science continues as the children develop their understanding of Materials. The portfolios are full of work as the children found examples of all the materials in their homes. This was then followed up by research into Biographies, in particular looking at the work of the famous Isambard Kingdom Brunel. This famous engineer built the amazing Clifton Suspension Bridge. Have you ever been there? The children produced some amazing artwork looking very carefully at the detail. This engineer became the focus of the history lessons this week as the children tracked his marvellous achievements.
On Friday the children finished their week's work thinking about Children's Mental Health by 'Dressing to Express' themselves. It was a delight to be able to see the creative ways they wanted to express themselves at school and at home. Well done everybody and keep up the great work at home. Comments are closed.
