Chestnut Class Friday News

We have continued to enjoy the Room on the Broom as the text in English this week. The children have immersed themselves in the characters and have acted out how they may have responded to events. They have started to think about their own stories which we will be writing next week. 
We have rearranged the reading corner and the children having been enjoying rediscovering some of our books which they have come to share with the class.
In Maths this week we have been  consolidating knowledge of addition. Children have used their skills to answer problems including some more complicated word problems.
