Dear Parents and Carers,
The children have been very busy this week through the afternoons making their Xmas baubles for the Christmas Fayre and practising the Nativity songs and lines. Please keep practising at home. Literacy I was delighted with the children's spellings this week once again - they are doing excellently! I am also seeing big improvements in handwriting. We are reminding all children to write on the line, size their letters appropriately and most importantly form letters correctly from the top! Maths The children have been looking at 2D and 3D shape identification this week. Key 2D shapes they should know are squares, rectangles, triangles and circles - however it is always good to extend their learning so we have also looked at hexagons and octagons as well as pentagons and nonagons. Key 3D shapes are cylinders, cuboids, cubes, cones, spheres, pyramids (square-based and triangular based) and various prisms. Have a great weekend! Mrs Budiman Comments are closed.
