Dear Parents and Carers,
Congratulations to Francesca who was our star of the week last week. Francesca has worked relentlessly to achieve all she can and is an outstanding student. Well done Francesca! Literacy The phonics screening check is looming and will take place on the week after half term. Please check you are reading daily with your child. Maths This week we are finishing our work off on fractions, including halves and quarters. These will be important concepts to understand in our next geometry unit involving turns. This weeks test will be X10! Humanities We are finishing our unit on Explorers and adventurers this week. We will be looking at: Sir Ernest Shackleton Bessie Coleman Valentina Tereshkova Neil Armstrong Sir Ranulph Fiennes Science We will be finishing our work on plants using our observational skills to identify the different parts of plants and trees.
