In the past week Chestnut class:
Phonics We have been looking at the following sounds: ou oy oor We have also been extremely busy assessing children's phonics progress. Many children are making tremendous progress due to the home reading they are doing on a daily basis. Maths We concluded our work on addition and subtraction this week and will be starting a new unit on Shape. Wider Curriculum PSHE Anti-Bullying Week We have discussed with the children how to report bullying and also how to deal with behaviour we are uncomfortable with using ABC! Ask them to stop! But if the don't, Call an adult! Geography We started our unit of work on the local area and have enjoyed using google maps to find our houses and identify human and physical features of the environment.
