In the Acorns class, we have been learning all about 'Space' as our topic for the past 2 weeks. We have had explored a range of activities and provocations linking to the topic. Some of the activities pictured and available to the children were:
* Drawing Rockets * Looking closely at the solar system * Building space rockets with the construction toys * Exploring puzzles * Ordering numbers to 5 * Exploring musical instruments * Creating some Paper mache Planets * Exploring the Nuts and bolts fine motor activities for our space ship The children have loved learning about space and have really enjoyed being creative with expressive arts and design activities. We received a new rug for the class room which has brightened up our space for carpet time and given us our own sitting spots. This has been brilliant for sharing space stories, circle time and for our daily phonics too. Some children have been continuing with home learning rather than returning to school. Following the activities web and home learning ideas sent home, these children have been really engaged in some fantastic activities and crafts. They have also been sharing pictures with us of what they have been up to and what they have created. We have loved seeing these and we are very proud of how you all have adapted to this new learning structure. Comments are closed.
