Our topic of 'Adventures in time' has continued this week and we have been finding out all about space travel, the solar system and planet Earth.
One child in Acorn class knows all about the stars in the night sky... "Did you know Astronauts plant stars in the sky, they fly and land on the moon" "Did you know there is a big digger in the sky?" (adult) "No, they use spades" When we talked about what you might need if you travelled into space the children had some really good ideas Sandwiches and a drink clothes Boots A helmet and, a rocket blasting off sounds just like popcorn in the microwave. thought for the week - One does not argue about the wind in the willows. Have a lovely half term everyone, EY team Hello all,
It's been a while since our last post and lots has been going on in nursery. Thank you to everyone who remembered forest school clothing last week; it was so lovely to all be outside together and we enjoyed getting muddy, swinging, climbing, balancing, sliding and exploring! We have been noticing signs of Spring popping up around school and learning how to take care of flowers when they are inside. To celebrate Chinese new year we made lantern's, practiced Chinese writing using fine brushes and water colour paint, made playdough pockets for coins and learnt to use chop sticks. There have been cosy moments with friends and crazy moments with Jumpstart Jonny. A little reminder to please return any nursery clothes that have been borrowed, we are running very low. Thought for the week - A grubby child is the sign of a really good day. See you all next week. |
