Who doesn't love to splash in muddle puddles? The children wore their wellies and had fun splashing in the tuff tray full of muddy water! …Storm Agnes hasn't stopped us.
Karen brought in some conkers and acorns this week from a walk and the children have explore the tuff tray, opening the conker husks to find a conker or two. Some children used their feet to stand on the conker husks, some children found that the green husks are trickier to crack than the brown husks. We went on a walk under the oak trees and discovered some acorns with little hats on. We found apples in the orchard and used them for printing. We have spent time practising a new autumn song '5 little apples'. The children worked really hard to decorate our cosy corner and used EVERYTHING they could to make it look beautiful. Quote of the week - An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Karen, Mel and Lucy. Counting, sorting, drawing, writing, building, traveling, painting, exploring and lots lots more!
Please keep an eye on Dojo for class information. Christmas card must be returned by September 26th, photo day is on Wednesday 27th, and if your child does not attend on the day and you would like a photo please bring them in at 8.00am and go straight to the school hall. Quote for the week - 'Puddle' (noun) a small body of water that attracts other small bodies wearing dry shoes. Karen, Mel and Lucy. A week full of self portraits, sharing stories, making faces in playdough, exploring forest school, catching bugs, being bugs, chasing butterflies and spotting signs of autumn.
This term our topic is 'Unique Me' we have been having group chats about our likes and dislikes, what we're good at and how to solve problems and investigate. Quote of the week - I am unique, there's no one quite like me. Karen, Mel and Lucy. It has been a really lovely start to the new school year, we have welcomed our little saplings back and are getting to know the newest Acorns.
Quote of the week - and, it's time to start something new and trust the magic of new beginnings. Enjoy a sunny weekend. See you all next week Karen, Lucy and Mel. |
