Did you know that Pirates eat biscuit's and drink lemonade?!
They also climb rope ladders and to reach the top of their ship and look for land! Acorn children have been imagining what else Pirates get up to, making eye patches and telescopes and finding treasure. The decking has busy with sand play and new construction toys have arrived for our inside learning space. Please remember forest school has moved to Friday afternoon this term and wellie boots are need for all children. Thought for the week - Play is training for the unexpected. Have a lovely weekend, Karen and the team. It's been a frosty fun time in Nursery this week, even on the coldest of mornings we have been able to get out onto our decking and enjoy learning outside!
The children have been working together to build see saws, cannons, balancing and blasting off to the moon and dinosaur land! The mud kitchen has been well used for making dinosaur food and the decking has been decorated with chalks and glitter. We have been finding out all about Dinosaurs, when they were on Earth, what they eat, how big they were and how they changed into fossils. Next week we will continue our topic 'Adventures through time' and focus on pirates from the past. Thought for the week - There are no seven wonders of the world in a child's eyes. There are seven million. Happy Friday! It has been a fantastic first week back in Early Years, we are delighted that our outside learning space is finished and the children are already enjoying it.
