It was an exciting start to the week as our pond life is growing... we have frog spawn, thanks to Philippa Crisp (Rowan's Mum) along with a HUGE bundle of willow for the children to make camps and dens with in our forest school area.
We started our new topic for the term 'Once upon a time' and the children have enjoyed reading and retelling the story of goldilocks and the three bears. We have been mixing oats, behaving like bears and ordering size and quantity. The fairies moved in with the dinosaurs and we have been very creative with the water colour paints. A great BIG thank you to Oak class for making us some pancakes to taste, they were delicious! Reminder - Wednesday 1st March is our World Book Day Celebration and the children are welcome to come dressed as a book character. Quote of the week - If you want your child to be intelligent read them fairy tales. EY Team Half term again already!
It's been a week filled with Forest school, cutting and sticking with the colour monster, play dough full of love, shape colour sorting, letters and sounds, name writing, Just Dance, Jumpstart Jonny and quiet moments with friends. A reminder to provide a small healthy snack for morning and a non spill drink bottle with your child's name on. Quote for the week - All for Love and Love for all Happy half term EY Team We've been... - Cutting and snipping. - Sorting and counting. - Building and sharing. - Driving in the car. - Drawing ourselves. - Talking to Sophie's growing tummy. - and napping when it all got too much... Quote of the week - Every day is an adventure and no two days alike. EY Team |
