Wet, wind and wild today but we still managed to enjoy our learning space.
- Easter collage big and small. - Planting carrots that the Easter bunny nibbled. - Using hands and feet to make chicks, bunnies, and carrots. - Blossom in full bloom. - Constructing eggs around our little chicks. - Mark making together. - Stomping in puddles. - Measuring quantity in the water. - Learning the Easter story. - Bouncing around like bunnies. - And.... Lots of talk about chocolate! Have a lovely Easter break :) See you all soon! Quote of the week - Spring adds new life and new joy. EY Team We had an energetic start to the week, joining the whole school on the field for 'Fun Fitness.' The nursery children were put into groups along with their older peers and thoroughly enjoyed being sporty, taking part and handling the obstacles along the way.
Mean while... on the inside we have been sharing stories in the cosy corner, creating adventures with the story stones, enhancing our communication and language skills with the help of the tinker tray, rescuing the fairies and princesses from the castle, discovering the blossom in forest school, using pens and chopsticks to recreate and putting as much as possible in the water tray on the decking. Quote of the week - A flower does not use words to announce it's arrival; it just blooms. EY Team Wild animals, turnips, face painting, mini beast in mud, name writing, quantity and counting, building, washing, forest schooling, pond dipping, dancing, singing and lots of laughing...… The list goes on!
Non stop learning, exploring and playing in Acorn class Joke for the week - Why do Gorilla's had big fingers? Because they have big nostrils! But we did have fun!
A week filled with Fruit printing Den building Problem solving Track building Risk taking Caring for the fish Building a habitat And, a Friday disco session! Thought for the week - Dream more, learn more, care more and be more See you all next week EY Team Our topic of 'Once upon a time' continues this week, the children have painted bear faces on paper plates for the display board, building different constructions on the decking, sharing stories, imaginatively taking on the bear family roles in play and dancing along to cosmic yoga in the woods and bear cottage.
World Book Day 2023 - The children looked fabulous, thank you for your efforts we joined the rest of the children in the school to show off the costumes during the assembly! Still hoping our SOS for pots, pans, and utensils that might be hiding away in the bottom of your cupboard? Our mud kitchen would really appreciate them :) Quote of the week - 'The best thing you can do with poetry is just enjoy reading it together with children' - Michael Rosen EY Team |
