It has been another fun filled week exploring and creating inside and out. Along with drawing a self portrait and writing our names we have used natural props to build faces and animals. The playdough came in useful when some children worked together to make funny faces. our mud kitchen continues to grow and our outside learning space is changing daily. The children have also been exploring feelings and what colour they might be with the help of the 'Colour Monster' story book.
Thought for the week "Children learn as they play. Most importantly, in play they learn how to learn". Happy Friday! We have had such a good time getting to know our new friends and nursery environment this week. Exploring, discovering, and adventuring inside and out!
We are now enjoying time with Oak class as well and sharing our learning spaces across the EY unit. It has been lovely seeing the children explore the outside area and some were wondering if a bear lives there! Next week we will be creating images of our selves on paper and attempting to write our names. Please remember a healthy snack for your child to enjoy during our morning story time. Have a lovely weekend and see you all next week. |
