This week we have continued to learn about the Olympics and Sports. Acorns have enjoyed plenty of sports activities where we have explored different movements ranging from slithering and zig zagging to running and jumping safely on our obstacle courses. As well as this we have been moving our bodies, copying actions from Jumpstart Johnny and Go Noodle videos.
In Maths we have been learning about prepositions, using interactive games, story time with 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt', an obstacle course, and the children are using descriptive words for where an item is e.g. underneath, on top, next to. We have begun to look at blending simple three lettered words with our fabulous phonic sounds e.g 'c,a,t' and 'b,a,t'. We have also enjoyed some super creative activities such as making olympic torches and exploring painting with the Olympic ring colours. Ending our week with some water fun, ring games and singing. Here are some pictures of the fun we have been having ... Comments are closed.
