Welcome back Acorns! It's been another busy week in EY. We have been finding out about Divali and why we have fireworks on November 5th. Divali is an five day celebration of light that is celebrated by the Hindu community around the world.
Throughout the week the children have made their own Diva's (candle holders) using clay as well as decorating them with glitter glue, they will come home with your child throughout next week. This afternoon we have tried a selection of Asian food. The children have also created wonderful 'Firework' paintings with toilet tubes and paint or pva glue and glitter while expressing such joy when telling us about the firework displays they have been to or are going to. Our outside learning space is growing... Yay! We can't wait for it to be finished and start to enjoy it. Quote of the week - "Play is our brains favourite way of learning." Enjoy the fireworks display this weekend if you are heading out to see them, stay safe. We look forward to seeing you next week! The Early Years Team :) Comments are closed.
