Hi everyone – This week we are learning to use the split digraph to make a long vowel sound. Our spellings are tuneful, tuneless, useful, useless, computer, concrete, complete, delete, extreme, even. In Maths, we are using numberlines to add and subtract. Last week we practised adding in multiples of ten and remembered number bonds to 100. In Literacy, we are learning about children from around the world. We are reading about their daily lives and practicing using expanded noun phrases and prepositions in our writing. We are still practicing ladder letters in handwriting – l,k,h,t,d,b. In the afternoons this week, we are learning about the continents and oceans. We have been learning about our place in the world. Please could your children learn their address for a short homework this week? Thanks Miss Boyce
