Welcome to Sycamore Class - Year Six
My name is Mrs Ware and I am the class teacher in Sycamore Class. We also have Mrs Bowles assisting us on Mondays and Tuesdays. Welcome Back - Autumn Term We are very happy to be welcoming the children back and wish to remind parents of some new routines which we have put in to keep everyone safe. In Sycamore Class, children will arrive at 9am and finish at 3.35pm. Please try to arrive as close to this time as possible and wait at the gate. If you would like your child to walk to school and home again after school, please advise me by a Dojo message or by a written message via your child. Please remember to send your child with the equipment they will need as well as a coat, water bottle and their lunch, unless you are ordering a school lunch. This should be ordered via the School Gateway. It would also be sensible for children to bring warm layers of clothing as the classrooms need to remain well ventilated with doors and windows open and can sometimes feel rather cool, even on a warm day. Please can children wear their PE kit to school on Fridays this term, as we will be having PE in the morning. They can stay in their PE kit for the day but should bring a school jumper to wear on top. Jogging bottoms are allowed. During the first week, we will be easing back into the normal school routines. We will ensure that children know the new rules and understand the reasons for them and feel safe and happy to be back at school. By the end of the week, children will have started their normal lessons such as English and Maths. We are starting our English with a whole school project on The Book of Hopes and will start our Place Value unit of work. We will have an introduction to our History topic World War 2 and The Blitz. You can find more information about what we will be studying this term on the curriculum web which I will post on the website and the Class Dojo. Comments are closed.
