It's Friday again - already! This week we have been writing stories about hope and practising rounding numbers. May need a bit more practise on negative numbers! In history, we have found out about Kindertransport - the evacuation of Jewish refugee children from Germany and other countries during WW2. Today was European languages day, so we watched a live streamed lesson about pirates in French and danced along to some Spanish songs. We had the first of our Friday arithmetic challenges- we hope to improve a little every week. Homework is a 10minute reading and a 10minute grammar activity. The children also all have ten new personal spellings to learn. Please encourage those reluctant readers to read every day - it's really important for their learning across the curriculum. Some children really struggled with their ideas for stories and this is usually because they haven't read enough stories to get ideas from. Have a great weekend everybody. 😀👏👍
