Here is our weekly update from Ash Class.
We've had another busy week here! We felt festive on Tuesday as we designed and created our own Christmas cards. Thanks to the wonderful FONTS, these will be produced into lovely cards which parents and carers can buy and raise lots of money to benefit the children. This week, in English, the children have written their own versions of Meerkat Mail. We had sharks going to stay with other sea creatures, garden birds visiting their eagle relatives, and even bananas visiting their banana family! There were some really creative ideas. In Maths, we've linked our learning to our History topic and have learnt about how Roman numerals work. Every day, we've worked out what the date is in Roman numerals to further embed this learning. Our Roman learning took a look at Boudicca and how she resisted the invasion of Britain. The children are working on some super cartoons to retell the events. In Science, we learnt about the particle structure of solids, liquids and gases. I must say, learning that all matter is made of tiny particles was a bit of a 'mind blown' moment for some! Just a quick reminder to make sure your child is bringing a coat to school every day please. That's all from me now, so have a fab weekend. Miss Radbourne. Comments are closed.
