Hello everyone. We've reached the end of another busy week in Ash Class! Here are some highlights...
In Maths, we have been learning all about angles and found lots of examples of right angles, acute angles and obtuse angles in the classroom. At the start of the week, we took our English lesson outside for our very own 'Walk in London' during which the children looked at some of the tourist sites in London and used this to inspire their writing for the day. In the afternoons, we've virtually travelled to another city - Rio de Janeiro - during Geography. The children have worked hard to research and compare life in Rio to our own lives in the UK. We continued our RSE programme with a lesson about some of the physical changes that happen during puberty and the importance of maintaining personal hygiene. Finally, have a look at some of the pictures from yesterday's OCRA Quad Kids Athletics tournament! It was a great morning and lots of fun was had by all. Just a quick reminder that the expectation is that children are reading daily. This could be anything from magazines, newspapers, manuals to cookery books, as well as their reading books. All reading is important! Please record in their reading diaries (children can do this themselves) and just initial so I know you've checked it. Keep practising those times tables too. There are lots of children who are close to moving up on TTRS, let's see how many can next week. Have a fab weekend everyone! Miss Radbourne Comments are closed.
