Happy Friday everyone.
We are now officially five sixths of the way through the year and the children have been working hard this week after half term, getting back into the swing of school. This week, we have continued working on decimal numbers and times tables in Maths, looked at why some animals are adapted to life in their habitat in Science, explored different learning attributes in PSHE, worked on our athletics skills in P.E. and showed off our reading skills when exploring our new class book Poems from a Green and Blue Planet, created visual biographies for the artist we are studying Cezanne (see photos), and finally, we have used Turtle Academy to create Geometric shapes using coding. As always, please read with and practise times tables with your children, the TTRS sheet will be out on Monday, as will spellings. We will be conducting the official check next week, so please practise, sing, talk about and chant times tables as often as you can! Next week, we have a busy week, with P.E. on Tuesday and Friday, NFER assessments for reading and maths taking place, as well as the official Multiplication Check happening all week. We will continue to explore our excellent English text The Lion and the Unicorn and will begin our new Geography topic of Natural resources and our Science topic of Human Anatomy. Have a great weekend, see you on Monday. Mr F Comments are closed.
