Hey everyone! It’s time to catch up on all the cool things we've been doing in Year 3 this week. From planning persuasive leaflets to making kites for Rainbow Day, here’s a look at our busy and exciting week:

In English, we’ve been hard at work planning to write persuasive leaflets. We brainstormed ideas, discussed persuasive language, and mapped out how to convince our readers about our chosen topics. It’s been a great exercise in using our words to influence and inform.

Our Maths lessons were all about telling time. We practiced reading the clock to the nearest 5 minutes and even down to the 1-minute mark. By the end of the week, we were all pretty confident in telling the time, making sure we won’t be late for any important events!

In Science, we delved into different types of ecosystems, learning about the diverse habitats and the plants and animals that live in them. It’s amazing how each ecosystem is a unique community of life.

In Geography, we explored the difference between weather and climate as part of our water, weather, and climate unit. We learned how weather is the day-to-day changes in the atmosphere, while climate is the average weather over a long period.

And in DT, we began making our kites for Rainbow Day on July 5th. Cutting, designing, and assembling our kites was a fun and creative project, and we can’t wait to see them fly high in the sky on Rainbow Day.

We also had OCRA come into school and we had lots of fun completing different athletics games.
