Hello and welcome to our weekly blog.
This week we have been undertaking final preparations ready for our SATs next week. In English this week we have begun a new text called 'Some Places more than Others' which is all about an American girl finding out about her family roots and history. We have learnt about the main character and her desire to visit New York. In maths we have been revising previous topics and working through completed SATs papers with deliberate mistakes to work out what the answer should be and how the teacher has gone wrong. We have also been practicing answering 3 mark questions in preparation for the reading test. On Thursday afternoon, we celebrated VE day by completing different activities including designing our own commemorative coin, VE bunting and making our own paper spitfires. Today we have had a joint PE lesson with Willow class where we played a fun game of rounders and took part in some running games such as North , East, South, West. This afternoon we spent lots of time outside relaxing and enjoying time playing with our friends. I am so proud of all the hard work the children have put in, in preparation for next week and they should all be so proud of themselves. I hope you have a lovely weekend in the sun!
