Weekly Blog - 6.6.25

Hello and welcome to the final half term of the year. 

This week we have ramped up the rehearsals for a Hint of Snow White. We have been busy practicing in the hall and been super busy learning the songs. Please encourage and support your child to learn their lines at home. 

In English we have looked at a video called Rock, Paper and Scissors and we have started to write a narrative based upon the short film. We will finish our stories next week. 
In history we explored how Hitler rose to power in the 1930s. The children learnt about what Germany was like in the 1920s/30s and learnt what hyperinflation. Some children compared the idea of nationalism to other world leaders today. 
In science we investigated all the different layers of an organism from a cell, to tissue, to organs, to organ systems and then to an organism.  
On Friday we spent time working with the younger classes supporting them in their PE lessons. It was lovely to see the children working so well with the younger children.
