Hello and welcome to our weekly blog.
This week in English, we have been writing our newspaper reports all about the Last Bear. We have tried hard to try and improve the standard of our writing to a year 6 level. We have been identifying key grammar features to include passive voice, direct speech, modal verbs and adverbs of time. In maths this week we have begun our second unit on fractions. We have been focusing on multiplication. We have been multiplying fractions by whole numbers and by fractions. We have become very confident with the skill of multiplying fractions. In geography this week we explored the challenges of an ageing population. We discussed what challenges the government would face with an ageing population such as a strain on healthcare. In computing, we have started to create our own websites using google sites. We have learnt how to insert images and texts onto our websites and change the font and colour. We will continue with this next lesson. In PE yesterday we focused on playing the game of netball and our pivots. We played a whole class game which allowed everyone to practice their skills of attacking and defending. This afternoon, we have begun creating our own things for our playgrounds using all sorts of materials. We will be continuing with this next week. I hope you have a lovely weekend 😊 Comments are closed.
