Happy Friday! Welcome to another weekly blog.
This week in English we have written our own wellness articles about how to be kind to ourselves, each other and the planet. The children have been excellent wellness coaches within our articles. We have also spent time publishing these and some are now on display outside the classroom! Next week we will being starting a new book and new unit. In maths this week we have finished our place value unit and have completed the end of unit assessment. The children did very well in this and now have secure understanding of place value. Today we started our new unit on the four operations by practicing and revising our column addition and subtraction. Our history lesson involved exploring what the working conditions were like during the industrial revolution. We then had to decide if we would rather work in a mine or a factory and why. In science this week we continued with looking at particles with a focus on impure mixtures and examples of these materials. In PE yesterday due to the weather the children played bench ball in the hall which was enjoyed by everyone - see photos below. Today in our PSHE lesson we discussed the importance healthy and balanced friendships by looking at different scenarios of friendship problems. This afternoon in art we have been continuing with our symbolic tiles all about things that represent us! I hope you all have a lovely weekend :) Comments are closed.
